May 2009 Section Meeting
PROGRAM: Corvette
Presentation
Dave McLellan, graduate of Wayne State University, Chief Engineer, Corvette,
will be the featured speaker. He took over the Corvette program from Zora Arkus-Duntov
to become the second Chief Engineer in Corvette history in 1975. He began helping
Corvette road racers fashion winning programs and continues to do so. Mr. McLellan
will conduct a free-form presentation and will be open to questions about his
Corvette experiences, the vehicles, and their performance. The quality of his
work goes without question. If you are curious at all, just look at a Corvette! … or
DRIVE one! … or BUY one!
Dave McLellan also has an abiding knowledge of Ferraris, so we can
conceivably extend the evening with even more widespread and inclusive
automotive information interchange.
